"The Rebel" was born Benedict Roger Wallers in 1971.
Since 1989 BR Wallers has recorded &
hand-distributed a bewildering array of impossibly hard-to-find home-made cassette-albums, under a variety of guises.
The songs on these tapes often provided the basis of the Country Teasers band's live shows and official releases.

b/c ben wallers is somehow the bastard child of mark e. smith & ol' dirty bastard. the devil seems his musically less complicated homage to metal & the brutal noise bands (brainbombs, &c.) that don't fit his other projects. but the main reason i'm writing anything here is to point out that the band does as faithful a cover of kool keith's 'girls want you' a quasi-metal one-off as any could. "fucking w/ 18 balls on the pool table ..."
